Data collection is now live for the Surgical Mentorship Needs-Assessment Survey, and the questionnaire is open for completion by medical students, trainees, fellows, consultants, and researchers in surgical fields.
What the Survey Aims to Achieve
Led by DISSECT Working Group 4 (WG4), this survey assesses current access to mentorship in surgery, identifies unmet needs, maps existing mentorship opportunities, and supports the development of a future European and worldwide mentorship framework and mentor database. The findings will help inform initiatives aimed at improving mentorship access and reducing disparities in surgical training and career development.
Who Should Participate
Medical students interested in surgery, surgical trainees, fellows, consultants, and researchers working in a surgical field (18 years of age or older).
